VOLUNTEER!

You can make a difference in the life of a foster-affected child

TFC is looking for volunteer psychotherapists to join our team of committed mental health professionals. Experienced, licensed clinicians are needed to offer long-term psychotherapy and facilitate consultation support groups.

TFC therapists agree to see one patient in psychotherapy and attend a weekly consultation support group. Our therapists find that support group attendance is crucial to their work with TFC clients, and typically find the group to be a rewarding and collegial experience that they greatly value.

The majority of our clients are African-American and Latino. We are especially interested in therapists of color, those located in Brooklyn, Queens or Staten Island, and those who speak Spanish.

Contact our clinical director, Barbara Pichler, to discuss our current volunteer opportunities.
